4 December: Help with Bipolar Disorder

Most of us look forward to Christmas but for those living with mental illness it can be a very challenging time of year. Many feel lonely and isolated from family and friends and others may be anxious about social situations or have worries about money problems or debt.

Each day leading up to Christmas we’re highlighting a different mental health resource from our site, which we hope will provide help and support not just for now, but throughout 2018 and beyond.

For 4 December we’ve chosen our information about bipolar disorder. It's especially helpful for anyone who has bipolar disorder, their friends and relatives. Someone with bipolar disorder will have severe mood swings. These usually last several weeks or months and are far beyond what most of us experience.
