Bipolar & Moods

By Jayne Collins

Happy, happy, flying around, this mood's in good flight

Full of ideas and can’t sleep a blinking wink at night

Giddy with laughter and full of beans

This is what manic means

SAD comes round every year

You lose your bubble and your cheer

Your world closes in and all is dark

Depression is not a walk in the park

Moods fluctuate a hundred miles an hour

Highs and lows, life’s a roller coaster

To others you’re just being awkward, moody, a Tasmanian devil

If you got inside my mind you wouldn’t be so clever

Before you judge please see me for what I am

Bipolar apart treat me as an equal “a woman”
