Reminder - RCPsych Fellowship

The deadline to submit the entries for the Fellowship of the College is 30 June 2017.

Fellowship of the College is awarded as a mark of distinction and recognition of contributions to psychiatry. As it is a College award, candidates and citators are asked to demonstrate and evidence significant contributions to the core purposes of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Mental health spending

We analysed NHS England's latest ‘dashboard’ of statistical information on the NHS and found that of the 44 Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP) areas, four are investing less in mental health care this year (2016-17) compared to last year (2015-16).

Prisons Bill bid

The college is lobbying for an amendment to the Prison and Courts bill to make sure prisons are clearly responsible for looking after the mental and physical health needs of prisoners.

RCPsych in Scotland

It’s been a busy start to 2017. January saw the launch of our MCN and in February we held our Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Roundtable event which included over 60 attendees from a mix of Scottish Government, third sector and clinical backgrounds.

This problem has now been addressed and we are continuing to work hard to resolve the other issues.

If you experience any issues when trying to make a booking, please email the relevant team with your name, contact details and a brief description of what you were trying to do (e.g. book an exam; pay for an event or training course) and the issue you encountered.
