As President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, I am delighted to announce an unprecedented opportunity to hear four of the world’s most influential neuroscientists in conversation ‘'The Brain in Mind: Neuroscience's contribution to psychiatry past, present and future' will be held at 6.30pm on Tuesday 9 May 2017 at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, 21 Prescot Street, London E1 8BB.

This will be a fascinating and unique evening of conversation between:

  • Professor Chris Frith FBA FMedSci FRS
  • Professor Trevor Robbins CBE FMedSci FRS
  • Professor Karl Friston FMedSci FRS, and
  • Professor Ray Dolan FMedSci FRS

*All four of these eminent scientists were ranked among the ‘Top 10 Most Influential Neuroscientists’ by the journal ‘Science’*

The panel will discuss how progress in unlocking the secrets of the human brain has contributed to the evolution of treatments for mental illness, and will debate how developments in neuroscience will influence psychiatric care in the future.

The panel will begin at 6:30pm prompt and will be followed by a drinks reception.

Please note there is a charge of £5 per place to attend this lecture, payable on the evening.
