RETIREMENT WORKSHOP

Date: Wednesday 14 May 2014

Venue: Royal College of Psychiatrists, 21 Prescot Street, London E1 8BB

Fee: £50 which includes lunch and refreshments

The London Division is again repeating it's successful Retirement event aimed at those of you who are approaching retirement and those who have recently retired. 

The day will offer you information and support and will include speakers on a number of topics, including:

  • Financial Planning for retirement and beyond
  • Developing and working in a private practice
  • Revalidation and CPD after retirement
  • Indemnity issues
  • Tribunal work

There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS FOR MANAGING MENTAL HEALTH IN PRIMARY CARE:  a one day workshop for GPs

Keynote speakers: 

Dr Clare Gerada MBE - immediate Past Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners and Chair of NHS England Board for Transforming Primary Care in London.

Dr Ian Walton - Clinical Lead for Mental Health and Whole Person Care, Royal College of General Practitioners.

Workshops include:

Getting Change in 7 minutes: a substance misuse practical guide for GPs

Rolling with the punches: how to build resilience for you and your patients

Case-based discussion groups.

WELCOME TO LONDON

Date: 21 June 2014

The London Division will be hosting a Welcome to London event for foreign students on Saturday, 21st June 2014.  Included in the event will be visits to the Maudsley Hospital, the Freud Museum and Bethlam Royal Hospital.  The event will finish with a three course meal at one of London's finest restaurants.
