Speciality Doctors & Assoc Specialist Psychiatrists

Specialty Doctor and Associate Specialist Psychiatrists (SSASPA)

Any Specialty Doctor or Associate Specialist working in Psychiatry in Scotland can join the group - there is a one-off joining fee of £30 (payable to SSASPA, please send to Treasurer). This group has an educational and business meeting (which qualifies for CPD points) two times per year, providing an ideal opportunity to share information and ideas relevant to those working in a non-consultant career grade role. Please contact either of the joint chairs or RCPsych in Scotland for more information.

Next SSASPA Meeting

Date: 7th and 8th May 2015

Venue: Dunkeld Hilton House Hotel

Attendance in November was disappointing so this is likely to be the only meeting this year - please make every effort to attend. Additionally please confirm attendance as early as possible so that the hotel can be notified of numbers.

The cost remains £156 for attending the whole meeting, dinner and staying overnight (and rooms will only be reserved once payment has been received) and £80 for those wishing to attend on the Friday only.  This can be claimed back from Study Leave Budgets.

To book a place please contact me and send a cheque for £156/£80 as soon as possible (payable to SSASPA).  Your cheque must be received to confirm your place.

Please do not hesitate to contact Gail Kidd ( telephone 01382 647245) or Dr Maureen MacVicar (telephone 01382 424512) if you require any further information.

For those unable to attend this meeting, but who would like to make suggestions regarding future meetings, please send comments to Lorna McWilliam
