ALL WALES APPROVED CLINICIAN AND SECTION 12(2) INDUCTION AND TRAINING

The All Wales Approved Clinician and Section 12(2) Induction and Refresher training dates for 2016 are now available on the Approval Team's website. The training is being delivered in a new format this year, with two days induction training and a separate day of refresher training. If you are required to attend training this year, please visit the website to download the relevant booking form.

Induction Training

All new prospective Approved Clinician's and Section 12(2) Doctors are required to attend a two day course commissioned by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The certificate is required as part of the application process and applicants must have attended the training no longer than two years prior to applying for approval.

Refresher Training

All Section 12(2) Doctors must attend a one day refresher course within the last two years of their current five year approval ending.

Approved Clinician's are not required to attend the one day refresher to be reapproved, however they are welcome to attend as the training provides an opportunity to learn about any changes to legislation, better practice and share experiences with AC colleagues.
