About the Trent Division

The Trent Division of the Royal College of Psychiatrists covers the following areas: Barnsley, Doncaster, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Rotherham, Sheffield and the South Humber.

This is a large geographical area stretching from Sheffield in the north, to Leicester in the south, and from the Pennines in the west to the Lincolnshire coast and the Wash in the east. There are three medical schools in the Division at Sheffield, Nottingham and Leicester.

The Trent Division Executive Committee meets every 3 months at different venues within the region, and an Annual Conference with a substantial academic content takes place once a year.  The Annual Conference is open to all Members and Associates of the Division - it has CPD approval and includes various prizes and competitions.

The Executive Committee of the Trent Division is particularly keen to encourage CPD and Affiliateship, and fully supports the College in its drive against stigma.
