NCCMH recruitment

The Community Mental Health Care Pathway

NHS England has commissioned the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH) to develop the Community Mental Health Care Pathway guidance. This programme is quality assured by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

This guidance will describe pathways and recommended response times for receiving an evidence-based package of care, which should be informed by NICE guidance. The programme of work is part of the government’s commitment to achieving parity of esteem for mental health.

NHS England set out a plan for immediate action to improve nationwide access to mental health services and NICE-recommended treatment, as set out in their 2016 publication The Five Year Forward View for Mental Health.

The NCCMH is recruiting National Advisors to support this work. The roles advertised here are related to adult and older adult community mental health services only.

Self-Harm and Suicide Prevention Competence Framework

Health Education England (HEE) has commissioned the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH) to develop a self-harm and suicide prevention competence framework. This framework will bear resemblance to those previously developed by University College London’s Centre for Outcomes Research and Effectiveness (CORE). The framework will be relevant to a wide audience from many different professional bodies as well as the general public.

The NCCMH is recruiting for Expert Reference Group Members to support this work. This includes professionals and people with lived experience (Experts by Experience).
