Types of problems

Psychiatrists contact the service about a range of issues including:

• bullying and harassment (information guide "On bullying and harrassment")

• mental and physical health 
• serious clinical incidents
• internal and external reviews and inquiries (information guide "On reviews, investigations and inquiries")
• difficult working relationships (information guide "On dealing with difficult colleagues")
• whistle-blowing (information guide "On whistleblowing and passing on concerns"; GMC guidance)
• the career pathway 
• GMC/NCAS assessments
• exclusion (information guide "On being excluded from work")

Since the service was launched in 2007, there have been over 450 contacts and the most common issues have been related to mental health, bullying and harrassment and difficult working relationships.
