MSAN-360: a multisource assessment tool for nurses

MSAN-360 logo

The team behind ACP360 are proud to introduce our new multisource assessment tool for nurses: MSAN-360. Piloted in conjunction with East London Foundation Trust, the system has undergone a thorough consultation process and rigorous testing, and is now available to access nationally.

MSAN-360 is designed to collect feedback for inpatient nurses and care-coordinators using colleague and service user questionnaires, as well as a self-assessment. This information can be used for appraisal purposes and will not be made publicly available.

The patient questionnaire for care co-ordinator participants revolves around the following domains:

  • Punctuality at appointments
  • Demonstrating respect and dignity
  • Providing clear written and verbal information
  • Discussing strengths and skills
  • Involving the patient in care planning
  • Efficiency at responding to queries and requests

The patient questionnaire for inpatient nurse participants revolves around the following domains:

  • Approachability
  • Good listening skills
  • Providing clear information that is easy to understand
  • Making time for patients
  • Understanding patients’ needs
  • Being respectful

The self-assessment and colleague questionnaire for both participant groups centre around communication and relationships with colleagues, patients, and the patient’s friends and family.
Once seven service user questionnaires and five colleague questionnaires have been completed, your report will be available to download.
