Acute Mental Health Care Pathway for Adults and Older Adults Event

Date: Monday 29 January 2018

Time: 9:30am - 4:00pm

Venue: Royal College of Psychiatrists, 21 Prescot Street, London, E1 8BB

About the Event

This one-day event will be an opportunity to learn more about The Acute Mental Health Care Pathway for Adults and Older Adults guidance which has been developed by the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health, following a process agreed with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

The event aims to help prepare services for participation in the associated quality assessment and improvement programme being organised and administered by the College Centre for Quality Improvement (CCQI). Innovative and practical ideas will be shared with a focus on improving access to inpatient and community-based acute mental health care, delivering compassionate and person-centred care, and promoting safety and wellbeing.

You'll have the chance to network with stakeholders from across the mental health care system, including commissioners, colleagues from acute inpatient teams for adults, psychiatric intensive care unit teams, crisis resolution and home treatment teams, experts by experience, and more.

  • Please note that this is a free event but spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
  • The number of delegates per service will be capped at two.
  • If you are offered a place, and subsequently no longer able to attend, please let us know so that we may offer your place to those on the waiting list.

Request your free place by completing this online form. Please get in touch if you have any queries (aba.acmh@rcpsych.ac.uk).
